    Window regulators

Anybody else had problems with front superb window regulators?,my previous superb bought new in 2011-2015 went through 4 and my present one purchased new in 2015 had drivers side fail last year. Reason is braided cable that activates regulator snaps as it's obviously too thin to support weight of larger superb window. 2 of the ones which went on previous superb were under warranty as was one on 2015 model but these regulators are too flimsy for a class vehicle like a superb and I'm betting its cost/costing skoda a fortune to replace and I would have thought since at least 2011 that they would have replaced these regulators with beefier cables, but maybe that's just the way I'd be thinking

Thats interesting because last night my drivers window mechanism also broke and just whirs away and it was frosty or stuck. It wound the window down ok but failed halfway up and I now have managed to pull the glass up and secured it in place with gaffer tape until I can get it into the dealers.

They do it right across the VAG range, I have replaced all four on my Octavia 1. The one I really hate doing is the Fabia 1 as the inner panel is riveted to the door with 12 pop rivets, on the Superb 2 it is bolted on.

    The part number is 3T0 837 462 A and they cost £152.58

Thinking about it, the A3 8L is an evil one as well, the mechanism is riveted to the door fame with huge rivets and we had to buy a special rivet gun to instal the new ones.

    Vile Invention

Dark was that day when Diesel conceived his grim engine that begot you, vile invention, more vicious, more criminal than the camera even, metallic monstrosity, bale and bane of our culture, chief woe of our Commonweal. How dare the Law prohibit hashish and heroin yet license your use, who inflate all weak inferior egos? Their addicts only do harm to their own lives: you poison the lungs of the innocent, your din dithers the peaceful, and on choked roads hundreds must daily die by chance-medley. Nimble technicians, surely you should hang your heads in shame. Your wit works mighty wonders, has landed men on the Moon, replaced brains by computers, and can smithy a "smart" bomb. It is a crying scandal that you cannot take the time or be bothered to build us, what sanity knows we need, an odorless and noiseless staid little electric brougham.
