Central lock works but not with key fob. Alarm is working from key fob.

    Hello Lovely people,
My car is Octavia 2010 Estate Diesel. Recently I cannot open/ close the car with key fob. The keyfob still activates the alarm but does not close/open the locks. The central locks work both from passenger and from driver side without a problem. All fuses checked. The key fob looks fine as well (two key fobs stopped to work at the same time) and battery change didn't help.
A friend of mine suggested that it might be a mechanism inside the driver door, which pushes the locks to activate. Please help.

So the central locking works correctly by using the key in the drivers door lock?

Yes, The central lock works fine by the key from the driver and from the passenger side as well. The key fob still activates the alarm but doesn't control the locks anymore.

That isn’t a faulty door lock then, it is odd... firstly, get a fault code read of the convenience system.
