    help needed please

My wifes 2013 Skoda Rapid had a tyre slashed yesterday. I went to take it off and swap for the spare and found the locking wheel nut key isnt the right one as it doesnt fit. Can anyone tell me the correct code so i can order a new one from this photo of the locking nut head.

They are all a similar shape with subtle variations. Have you tried it on the other wheels to make sure it is the wrong one? My lock key distorted slightly making it difficult to use, with some wheels being worse than others. If that is the case with yours and it will fit on one or more of the other wheels showing it is distorted there is a letter stamped on the part of the key that fits into a socket. If it is distorted and you manage to get the wheel off, I found it cheaper to buy a complete set of locknuts and a key from Horton Skoda than just a replacement key (see link below). There are tools for removing the locknuts without a key, a tyre dealer or local garage may be able to help.

I checked and it is not specific, it lists all of them. It shows your wheels are called “Dione”, but not the key number. Try your local Skoda dealer first, it is interesting that Laser do not do the master set for that design.

On the system they are numbered 761 to 780 so which is X at £38 a time? Take it into the dealer and they are SUPPOSED to be able to help.

Yours seem the opposite way round to mine, mine have the recess on the wheel bolt. With mine the raised part on the key became damaged (see picture). It fitted two wheels easily but not the other two. Haveyou tried your key on all four wheel bolts as the key might be the correct one and the raised part of the wheel bolt is deformed.

On the end of my key there is a letter showingwhich one it is (see picture), does yours have the same?

Have you tried calling a mobile tyre fitter to see if they could help?
