Hi all, I have a 2010 petrol VRS estate with a broken airbag clock spring for which it is failing its MOT. I cannot find a replacement part anywhere and neither can my garage, in fact they say Skoda are not even taking orders as the order book is already full. The part number is 5K0953569AL.

Anyone got any ideas? Many thanks

Are they sure it is the AL? You need the number off the old one. There is also an AK, it depends on the PR codes, 8T2 for AL and 8T0 for AK. Yes these are on back order from VAG UK BUT the TPS depots in Wolverhampton, Portsmouth, Croydon, Canterbury and Norwich are showing stock which your local TPS should be able to inter dealer but not until the new year.

Thanks very much, TPS tell me they don't have stock and they are waiting on the backorder to come good themselves.

Did you check the TPS depots I mentioned? Recently we waited four months for a battery monitoring unit for a Caddy.
