Hi All,

after changing timing belt i noticed that the value for "Camshaft adaptation exhaust bank 1; phase position" is -13.14 degree as above.

Is it correct to be like this? if not what is correct value? and how to correct it?

Best regards

Hi Crasher,

The car is octavia 2014 TSI. engine 1.4 CHP.
Mechanic used locking tool.
After he finished i checked the values and notice that "phase position" is -13.14.
I checked on internet and some people saying that it should be tolerance 0+-5 degree.
Which is correct?

Best Regards

I don't think he has released the cam pulley bolts to allow the pulleys to sit with the new belt, these are one time only bolts as are the VVT sealing cap bolts and both O rings. If you don't do this the correct way you will never get the timing to be accurate and you MUST have the T10494 cam to cam alignment bar as well as the usual crank blocking pin

It looks like it but if VCDS doesn't have a data display, it would need to go onto ODIS to be checked.
