That number is not good for your car, I am just getting to use my work PC with Google Workspace so I can use ETKA but I have been off five weeks and there was a pile of updates which it is still doing. Using your VIN in Partslink 24 the flap unit on the EGR cooler is shown as 04B 131 501 D

I can see it now, I was referring to the throttle valve unit on the EGR cooler, you have replace the unit on the inlet manifold with the correct updated part

You need to get a code read done with VCDS and post it on here, I will be back at work on Monday which will make my life easier, doing all this on an iPad is painful

Interesting, a VW dealer sending you a Partslink 24 screen shot instead of from ETKA, which they are not supposed to do anyway. The part you have fitted is correct for the car, I just feel it is the wrong end of the system.

The most common problem we see is the valve on the EGR cooler around the back of the block, a right pain to get at.

That's why he changed the other one its more easier to get at. The egr valve at the back of engine does that effect the stop/start system.

Even not wearing your seat belt upsets the stop/start but that is no bad thing as it saves bugger all CO2 but destroys starters, flywheels, batteries and requires ridiculous complexity to the electrics such as failure prone LIN BUS digital alternators and the attendant battery control monitoring units which also fail, my workshop was going through this today.
